Summary:

[google transl.] CORE: worldwide collector of scientific documents in open access

"CORE is a worldwide collector of scientific documents in access managed by The Open University and JISC. I currently have 132.7 million records of documents collected from 3,650 repositories and thousands of magazines from around the world, with the aim of making them available to the public in a legal and unrestricted manner.

CORE compiles all the records of repository metadata (institutional and thematic) and journal publishers that continue the full text of the documents in PDF format. This collection process allows to offer multiple functions up close, filtering, consulting and analysis from the metadata and the complete text.

This global collector also offers services to scientific and academic contingent providers (institutions, libraries, program developers, researchers, etc.). In addition, CORE is enriching its scientific contingencies with a set of services that includes a close look at application analysis and programming interfaces (Application Programming Interface, API), with the aim of contributing to a cultural change to promote the open access movement."
