Summary:

Google English: "Thanks to the experience of the researchers UniTo (Department of Philosophy and Educational Sciences and Department of Psychology) and the Collegio Carlo Alberto born AcaMedia, a new project in the field of human sciences, aimed at supporting Italian researchers in the work of internalising their research.

For the Italian researcher, to disseminate the results of his work internationally in the form of a research monograph is, at present, extremely difficult. The causes of this are attributable to three main factors: first, Italy has renounced the development of publishing on the model of the University Press; secondly, the Italian language is less and less known and widespread in the field of Humanities; finally, although there are some publishing companies in Italy that allow monographs to be published in a foreign language, the international market grants trust only to its own publishing industry.

Similarly, in some scientific fields, researchers find it difficult to publish in high impact international journals. These difficulties occur above all in non-bibliometric sectors and in sectors where bibliometry is recently introduced - areas in which scientific production is still linked to a predominantly national dimension.

Finally, although Open Access is considered strategic in view of the dissemination of results and to increase the impact of research, in several disciplinary sectors the ability of researchers to publish in Open Access journals (Gold road) is still limited. the focus on the inclusion of products in open access archives (Green road)...."
