"In early 2018, De Gruyter has launched Open Material Sciences, an Open Access, peer-reviewed journal that aims to publish latest research concerning organic, inorganic, composite, biomedical and biological materials, such as ceramics or polymers. Ewa Chmielewska and Pablo Markin have interviewed its Editor-in-Chief on this occasion. 

While leading the Nanomedicines and Biomedical Engineering Lab at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Helsinki, Finland, Prof. Hélder Santos also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the newly launched journal.
