Google English: "Open Data Day is an international project organized by the Open Knowledge International Foundation with the support of various international organizations, including the UN and the World Bank. In honor of the Open Data Day, meetings, lectures and hackathons are held around the world aimed at promoting the concept of openness and accessibility of data. Speakers and participants of events share their experience, ideas of projects and talk about the benefits of using open data in various spheres of life.

In 2018, the Open Data Day in Moscow will be held March 3-4 in the "Blagosphere" center.

Organizers - ANO "Information Culture", Committee of Civil Initiatives, HSE and OKI Russia - decided to focus on practical cases and examples of working with open data: where to look for data, what tools exist for their analysis and processing, how to visualize data, what non-commercial and business projects can be created on their basis.

The event will take the form of lectures and master classes on thematic areas: government data, business, data-journalism, openness of NGOs, urban data.

For the first time in the framework of the Open Data Day, an exhibition of infographic will take place, the Open Data Dating network session and an interactive quiz game with valuable prizes from the partners of the event.
