First textbook supported by the EPFL Library Gold Open Access fund

"For the first time, the EPFL Library Gold Open Access (OA) fund contributed to the publishing charges of a textbook published under CC BY license. The title Elements of Robotics, co-written by Professor Francesco Mondada, is freely accessible on the Springer platform https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007%2F978-3-319-62533-1 and available in print format at the EPFL Library.

The EPFL OA fund provides a financial support to EPFL authors publishing an article, a data paper, a conference paper, a book or a book chapter in Gold Open Access. In addition, various agreements with publishers allow authors to benefit from discount on publication fees (APC, article publishing charges).
