"The Dutch universities and publisher Springer have signed a new agreement. This includes agreements on open access publishing. 01/08/2018 | 9:25 AM Corresponding authors of the VU and VUmc can (continue to) publish in approximately 1,850 journals within the Springer Open Choice program at no extra cost. The deal applies retroactively from January 1, 2018 and runs until December 31, 2021. Open Access publishing possible in more Springer journals The number of titles in which open access can be published has been expanded with 155 new titles. Reading access will also be broadened. Employees and students from VU University Amsterdam and VUmc will have access to 205 extra Springer titles. Strategic partnership for Open Science The Dutch Universities and Springer also enter into a strategic partnership with the aim of strengthening open science and stimulating developments in that area.
