Summary:

"The Microbiology Society is pleased to announce that we have joined the Initiative for Open Citations (I4OC) and made all citation data from our six, highly regarded journals openly available to everyone. By joining I4OC, the Society is helping to establish a global public web of linked scholarly citation data to enhance the discoverability of published content, whether subscription or open access. “One of our objectives is to unlock the potential for knowledge exchange, which includes opening up our deep archive to the world as a free-to-read resource. Joining I4OC is a key part of delivering on that goal, as it will help researchers to explore the network of connections within microbiology and between microbiology and other fields.” said Tasha Mellins-Cohen, Director of Publishing at the Society...."
