Summary:

"Survey of Canadian Institutional Repositories

"You are being invited to participate in a research study examining the creation and maintenance of institutional repositories (IR) in Canada. The purpose of this research is to identify how IR platforms, both proprietary and open source, are implemented and maintained at varying sizes of institutions. If you work with an institutional repository at a Canadian post-secondary institution, please consider participating in this survey. Keep in mind that in order to participate, you must know if you are using an Open Source IR platform or a proprietary IR platform.

Principal investigator: Lindsey MacCallum, Archives & Scholarly Communications Librarian at Mount Saint Vincent University (Halifax, NS).

Participation: The survey is expected to take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Participation in this survey is voluntary. You may choose to not answer questions and you may stop the survey at any time. Due to the anonymous nature of the survey, it is not possible to withdraw data after completion of the survey. You will not be compensated for your participation in this research. There are no known or anticipated risks or discomforts associated with participating in this survey. You may not directly benefit from participating in this study, however, the information collected will add to the body of knowledge that can inform institutional repository practices. Data collected will only be used towards this research study, and will not be reused in any other context...."
