Summary:

Google English: "New ares at Open Knowledge Brasil

I assumed the Executive Board of Open Knowledge Brasil in July 2016 with the main objective of helping to organize, restructure and build a medium / long term planning for the organization.

That has been our mission since then, and we have made good progress in that direction. Currently we have four strategic programs - Data School, Open Expenditures, Open Data Index (adapted from the Open Data Index) and Civic Innovation - all of them, being executed by qualified people with high potential to generate impact in society, and with good expectations sustainability in the coming years.

The organization is recognized in the country as one of the most relevant in the transparency agenda, and has been developing a fundamental work in improving the ecosystem of opening, structuring, analysis and use of data, with special attention to journalistic users. This always maintains a lean, flexible, dynamic and very efficient operating structure.

The articulations and partnerships with civil society organizations, academics, media and public institutions at the three levels (federal, state and municipal) have been key in the process of improving mechanisms for transparency and social control in the country. We are active participants in the Partnership for Open Government (OGP), the Network for Transparency and Social Participation (RETPS), we work with FGV DAPP in different projects, close cooperation with bodies such as TCU and we are in contact and collaboration with other courts of accounts in the states and with the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rio de Janeiro, to mention a few examples...."
