Summary:
[The following may be the start of a crowd-sourced document...]
"Agricultural research in India is being carried out by the various constituents of the National Agricultural Research System (NARS). However, being more location specific and region specific, not many of the Journals published by the scholarly societies and others are not indexed by WoS and Scopus. And there is no community supported authority which can take up citation analysis of these articles and journals. Therefore, there is a need for a database of open citations and with the involvement of community, open metrics can be generated and can be used for understanding the research and rewarding the researchers in the NARS. The proposed talk would be on the citation analysis in NARS, journal metrics being adopted and what is the way forward with the Open Citations."
