"ACCUCOMS has assisted in a new agreement being signed between the Royal Society and Max Planck Digital Library (MPDL).  All MPDL institutions will now benefit from a new agreement on Article Processing Charges (APCs) for the Royal Society’s open access journals Open Biology and Royal Society Open Science. Graham Anderson, Global Sales Manager, and Rebecca Ashworth, Open Access Memberships for the Royal Society said, “We are very pleased to be working with MPDL on this new agreement that will support their researchers and works towards their OA2020 goals. ACCUCOMS assisted the discussions with the MPDL team and communication to the various MPDL institutions.” Kai Geschuhn, Innovative Services MPDL, said “Max Planck Digital Library is happy to offer APC coverage to the Max Planck authors who increasingly publish in Royal Society open access journals.” “It always gives me a sense of great pride when hard work pays off, as was the case with this deal with Max Planck Digital Library.” Adds Egon Menardi, Commercial Director at ACCUCOMS. “ACCUCOMS is well placed to support publishers in both traditional subscription sales and also with new OA initiatives. “
