The DARIAH-DE Repository , which was put into productive operation in December 2017, not only provides researchers, but also memory facilities as a publication platform and archive for digital humanities and cultural research data. The Max Weber Foundation - German Humanities Institutes Abroad has decided to use the DARIAH-DE Repository as one of the preferred publication sites for research data and does not operate its own repository. The Max Weber Foundation emphasizes on the one hand the necessity of a research data repository as well as the trust in DARIAH-DE to operate it in the long term. This article shares some experiences and conclusions from the biannual operation and use. It discusses the location of the DARIAH-DE repository within the infrastructure landscape, the relationship between demand and use and the role of the infrastructure for developing a publication practice of research data in the humanities.
