"...Duties The appointee will work with a team of Library staff to develop innovative library services in support of the University’s teaching and learning initiatives. He/She will be required to: (a) identify, evaluate and classify Open Educational Resources (OER) within and beyond the University, including open-access e-books and e-journals, open textbooks, open courseware, MOOCs, e-learning objects, audio-visual materials, etc.; (b) collaborate with Library staff, other campus partners and faculty members to raise the awareness of OER and assist faculty members in using and creating OER; (c) compile online guides to assist faculty members in handling copyright issues related to the use of OER materials, embed OER materials, together with licensed resources, in their teaching programme; (d) develop the Library’s online platform for Outstanding Student Work (OSW) to discover, archive, and showcase the learning experience and academic achievement of students; (e) coach students to share their learning experience via video blogs or poster presentations to demonstrate desirable learning behaviours and mindsets; (f) develop database schema and apply international standards to digitalise and index non-textual objects, audio-visual materials as well as 2D/3D representations and data, to ensure that digitised objects in diverse formats produced by both students and Faculty as OER and OSW can be discovered, harvested by search engines, and retrieved on different platforms; and (g) perform any other duties as assigned by the University Librarian or her delegates...."
