Public Domain Day Exhibit | Utah State University

ab1630's bookmarks 2019-12-22

Summary:

"As of January 1, 2020, U.S. publications from 1924 will finally become free to use, copy, and adapt. Copyright law allows authors and artists to profit from their creative works. The public domain is a body of works that are either never copyrighted or whose copyright has expired. Works in the public domain can be used freely in many ways that promote entertainment and education.

Celebrate with us by visiting the exhibit in the Merrill-Cazier Library during the first week of school to learn more about the public domain and see examples of books from the Library’s collection that are entering the public domain along with thousands of documents, images, and films that you can access from a computer in the exhibit."
