"Background The Library Publishing Special Interest Group (SIG) is holding its Open Programme at the IFLA World Library and Information Congress in Dublin, Ireland, August 15-21, 2020. The committee welcomes proposals for presentations at that programme. Library Publishing, in an increasing number of mostly electronic forms and formats, has been on the rise over the past decade. Buzz and excitement surround a growing belief that publishing is a critical function of the library of the future. Much of this activity is driven by a desire to advance open access, as well as to meet local needs related to the creation and dissemination of scholarship...."
