The post holder is responsible for maintenance of software systems required to fulfil the needs of the Centre of Postdigital Cultures and the projects situated within, including the Community-led Open Publication Infrastructures for Monographs (COPIM) Project.

These include existing server-based software that is relevant in connection to ongoing project development and HE evaluation and audit frameworks, as well as maintenance of new and emerging project infrastructures, including the COPIM communication infrastructure (based on NextCloud and hugo / gitea).

The postholder will be the lead in maintaining and further developing existing as well as new software components and applications (existing platforms include e. g. a variety of WordPress blogs single site & multisite, a MediaWiki, and other open-source web publishing solutions). This development work will be crucial to support the Centre’s research mission to explore and experiment with the many facets that an occupation with the Postdigital entails, including experimentation with novel approaches to experimental publishing workflows.

The postholder will also support three experimental book publishing Pilot Projects, which COPIM is developing together with authors and publishers, and which focus among others on collaborative writing and annotation workflows, computational writing and publishing (i. e. Jupyter Notebooks), and linking data and qualitative writing in new ways.
