Job: Development Officer - OA Monographs | Jisc

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum depending on experience (when working full time max 35 hours per week) Contract: 24 month Fixed Term contract Location: Hybrid - office based with full flexibility to work from home or at any of our hubs About the role: This is a highly specialised role, you will be working as part of a cross-functional team, to support Jisc’s two-year programme of work to implement UK Research and Innovation’s new open access policy. In this pivotal role, you will lead and co-ordinate the monographs-related activity associated with the delivery of the Jisc UKRI open access policy programme. Your focus will be on ensuring that we provide the research sector with tools, guidance and publishing options in readiness for the commencement of the UKRI OA monographs policy. You will devise and develop an implementation plan and work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the relevant activity, outputs and outcomes. There is a critical focus on coordinating the development of different models and pilots for open access academic books in order to drive change and deliver value for the research sector. Other responsibilities will include: • Creating and implementing a project plan, as part of the UKRI open access policy programme, to support the OA monographs policy and successfully deliver on agreed activity, outputs and outcomes. • Putting in place agreed tracking measures for monitoring the performance of the OA monographs project plan on an ongoing basis, proactively making recommendations to optimise and improve performance. Regularly reporting on performance and activity to the programme team and key stakeholders. • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure we have a coordinated approach to OA monographs, bringing together our activity across licensing, open research services, and content and discovery.
