In September 2018, the University of Cagliari established a new open access publishing house, UNICAPress .
Active since November 2019, UNICApress publishes and distributes open access publications resulting from research and teaching conducted in the university, or on topics of interest to the University of Cagliari or Sardinia.
The works published by UNICApress, in PDF format, are freely accessible online, generally under the international Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0 license, except for images or other materials granted by third parties under different terms. Those who wish may also purchase print copies on demand.
