Summary:

The presentation of this training held on April 28, 2022 is aimed at OA professionals in libraries.

The presentation will explain the stages a book goes through until it is made available via OA in a medium to large scientific publisher. To this end, the presentation shows the path of the OA book through the various departments of a publisher, starting with manuscript submission, through the review and approval process, to the production and finally distribution of the various (digital) publication formats.

The presentation will provide an insight into the internal publishing processes and knowledge of the special conditions for Open Access in scientific publishing houses. The goal is to be able to adequately meet challenges in the communication process between libraries and publishers.
