Summary:

"The Lithuanian Society of Young Researchers (LSYR), the Lithuanian Research Library Consortium and the Association of Lithuanian Serials share the results of EIFL-funded project on educating young researchers on the benefits of open access and engaging them to become open access advocates in the country... Read the case study written by the project manager Gintarė Tautkevičienė, Kaunas University of Technology [PDF].  This is the first (out of 11) case studies describing the results of the 2012 national and institutional open access advocacy campaigns to reach out to research communities in Africa, Asia, and Europe. These case studies illustrate activities, advocacy strategies, successes and lessons learnt, thus libraries everywhere can benefit. Stay tuned for other cases that will be released in February!  You can also read about the results and lessons learned from the 2011 EIFL-OA advocacy grants. All case studies available here."
