RCUK International Meeting on Open Access - Research Councils UK

"On 20 March 2014, RCUK held an International Meeting on Open Access at Church House, London. The meeting was in follow-up to discussions on Open Access held at the G8 Science Ministers meeting held in London in June 2013. The aim of the meeting was to: Provide a forum for funding practitioners to share their thoughts and best practice implementation experience, and to consider the future challenges to implementing the shared aim of Open Access to the results of publicly funded research; To identify practical actions that can be undertaken within and between the participating nations to help advance this shared aim. The meeting was hosted and chaired by Professor Rick Rylance, CEO Arts and Humanities Research Council and Chair of RCUK Executive Group, and Professor Paul Boyle, CEO Economic and Social Research Council.
