Summary:

"Wiley has no single copyright agreement template for authors and uses different versions depending on the subject discipline, and the wishes of the societies for whom we publish. Although signature of a Copyright Transfer Agreement is the preferred option, some societies have selected an Exclusive License Agreement.  In most cases authors may post the submitted version of their article to a personal website/institutional repository after publication, although in some disciplines (e.g. Social Sciences and Humanities) Wiley permits posting of the submitted version at any time, not limited to after publication. Some research funding bodies require deposit/posting of accepted articles, i.e. articles that have been peer-reviewed and accepted for publication but not yet copy-edited, typeset, or otherwise enhanced as part of the publication process. Separate arrangements exist to meet these requirements (see here). Pay to publish Open Access: Authors may make their final published article openly accessible by using Wiley’s open access journal publishing program (Wiley Open Access) or OnlineOpen option. This ensures that the article is made openly accessible on Wiley Online Library, it is posted to PubMed Central, and it can be reused for non-commercial purposes. Self-archiving: Other than under separate arrangements, Wiley restricts posting of the accepted and final published versions. Under all of our template copyright agreements, authors may reuse all of their tables, data, figures and artwork without any restrictions other than those mandated by scientific ethical practices (e.g. credit must be given and modifications must be noted). Authors may also use the final published version in e-reserves, in teaching duties, and in course packs, and they may send the final PDF to colleagues on request for their personal use. We recommend that librarians who wish to post articles in their institutional repository check with the author directly to confirm the rights associated with their article and to ensure that the correct version is posted. The institutional repository record should include full bibliographic details and provide a link to the journal's formal site so that users can make reference to the final published version of the article. Policy changes effective 1st April 2013 ...  Pay to publish open access publishing policy: Wiley will be changing the choice of licensing arrangements available to authors in its open access publishing program. Wiley’s open access publishing program includes Wiley Open Access,  society partner open access journals and the OnlineOpen option available to authors in over 80% of Wiley’s subscription journals. In determining its choice of licensing options, Wiley has taken into account specific requirements at an article, journal and discipline level as well as addressing the various needs of authors, funders and our publishing partners.  From April 1, 2013 the majority of Wiley’s journals* in the open access program will offer authors funded by The Wellcome Trust and members of the Research Councils UK (RCUK) the opportunity to publish their articles under a Creative Commons Attribution CC BY license..."
