Summary:

"Frontier research often heavily relies on data that is produced or collected during the research process, or on existing data that is being analysed and built on in the context of new research questions. It is therefore vital that researchers, their institutions and funders adopt and support good research data management practices, including the sharing of data in an appropriate way. The ERC Executive Agency in collaboration with the ERC Scientific Council Working Group on Open Access is organising a 2-day workshop on 'Research Data Management and Sharing' to explore this important topic together with ERC grantees and other researchers, with representatives from funding bodies, universities and other research performers, with publishers, policy makers and other interested parties. Further details will be made available soon. The workshop, which will have an interactive format providing lots of room for discussion, is by invitation only. Please contact ERC-OPEN-ACCESS@ec.europa.eu if you would like to be kept informed about this event and might like to participate, stating your affiliation, your function in your organisation, and a few sentences explaining which particular aspect of the complex topic addressed by the workshop you are most interested in ..."
