Summary:
"You will be aware that from the 1st April 2013, new Open Access policies recently announced by The Research Councils UK (RCUK) will become effective. This means that if your research is funded by the RCUK, the new policies state that journal research articles must be published Open Access.
We are pleased to let you know that SAGE has a wide range of OA options that will enable you to fully comply with these and any other research funder requirements.
SAGE offers an option for authors to pay an Article Processing Charge to have their article published open access, through our SAGE Choice Programme. Additionally, we publish a number of 100% (gold) open access journals, including SAGE Open (spanning the full spectrum of the social and behavioural sciences and the humanities), SAGE Open Engineering, SAGE Open Medicine and SAGE Open Medical Case Reports. If you do not have APC funds you can still comply with funding policies through deposit of the accepted version of your article.
There are many benefits of publishing open access with SAGE, including rigorous peer review as you would expect from any high quality academic publication.
