"We talked at the Nesta Hot Topics session on how 'open data' can help us use things for longer, and have a better idea of how they are recycled at end of life. Open data means what it says on the tin. Data sets are that accessible, useable and made available to the general public. Open data can be used for numerous purposes – often it requires some analysis and visualisation to become 'useful' – but access to data in useable formats unlocks numerous possibilities. Thanks to Rob Maslin, Mark Shayler and Nesta for the invitation. Here are our notes from the session – we’d love to hear your comments below ..."
