Summary:

"With so many new technologies and the dynamism they bring, how we see the future of science is consistently changing, preempted by new media innovation. However, with new technologies, new measures and the highly inter-relational ongoing processes involved,  inevitably undergo ongoing revision for change. Of prevalence is the idea that 'today we are escaping many of the constraints of analog containers for culture' (Wilbanks 2011). Whilst media analyses of scientific information alter it, advances in science change the nature of media. This feedback loop between science and media lays down the groundwork for understanding just how complex an organisation open distribution of science through media across the world would be for the future. This is particularly because 'science publishing isn’t just an industry. It’s also the core factory for knowledge transfer in the world' (Wilbanks 2011) ..."
