Summary:

"On behalf of the editorial team of Lublin Studies in Modern Languages and Literature (LSMLL), a scholarly journal published by the Faculty of Humanities of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, Poland, we would like to encourage submissions of research articles and reviews within the main areas of philological studies (linguistics, literary studies, culture studies, translation studies, foreign language teaching) in all modern foreign languages. Lublin Studies in Modern Languages and Literature (formerly Lubelskie Materiały Neofilologiczne) (ISSN 0137-4699) has been published since 1976 r., initially, by Modern Language Association of Poland, Lublin branch, then by the Institute of German Studies of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (1994-2004). Since 2004 LSMLL has been published by Division of Applied Linguistics of MCSU. Lublin Studies in Modern Languages and Literature is available in full-text version on the website http://www.lsmll.umcs.lublin.pl. The journal is indexed in the following databases: Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL), EBSCO Publishing and Index Copernicus. The journal is listed in Modern Language Association (MLA) Directory of Periodicals and Cabell’s Directory of Publishing Opportunities. Lublin Studies in Modern Languages in Literature has been submitted to journal assessment of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education and is pending inclusion into the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAL). Authors interested in publishing in Lublin Studies in Modern Languages and Literature are kindly requested to format their submissions according to the editorial guidelines available here http://www.lsmll.umcs.lublin.pl/index.php?id=info&chosen_lang=en. Completion of the technical requirements is the pre-requisite for further steps of the reviewing procedure. The article length (together with references, footnotes and appendices) should be around 15 formatted pages (25.000 signs with spaces).  Articles need to be accompanied by an abstract in English and in the article’s language, up to 100 words each, and a brief bio-note in English (maximum 80 words), including the following details: author/s’ first name, family name, academic degree, affiliation (Institute/University), main research areas, most important publications (maximum 3 items). Deadline for article submission to issue 37 (2013) is June 30, 2013. Properly formatted texts, together with an abstract and a bio-note, should be sent as e-mail attachment to jolanta.knieja@poczta.umcs.lublin.pl or jarek.krajka@wp.pl. Each article is blind-reviewed by two independent reviewers not affiliated to the place of work of the author of the article.
