Currently the university is engaging in three different initiatives aimed at promoting open access: uO Research, Author Fund and open journal hosting. In addition, it places an emphasis on other open access content such as the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Google Scholar, Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) and Open Educational Resources (OER) Commons.
