Summary:

"The master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation of virtually every Montana State University graduate student since 1902 is now available online for the public to read and download. The library recently digitized more than 5,000 theses and dissertations and loaded them into the library’s publicly accessible institutional repository, ScholarWorks, according to Kenning Arlitsch, dean of the MSU Library. Previously, those scholarly works were available only in print at the library. Because the library had also been adding newer electronic theses and dissertations to ScholarWorks for the last several years, the collection of MSU electronic theses and dissertations in ScholarWorks now numbers about 7,500, Arlitsch said.  Internet search engines such as Google and Google Scholar will also harvest the theses and dissertations to make them discoverable to a worldwide audience."
