[From Google's English] "A delegation bringing together French and Dutch experts in the field of Open Access key topic worldwide for the world of research, has been invited by the Office for Science and Technology to come to Japan from 27 to January 30, 2015. This mission was to meet all the stakeholders to do a full update on the situation in Japan regarding Open Access and consider possible collaborations ... The delegation, coordinated by INRIA (National Institute in the field of digital sciences) combined two Inria research directors, a representative of the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research, researcher University Paris VII and CEO of CWI (Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica Research Institute in the field of mathematics and computer science in the Netherlands).  It was on this occasion meet with leaders of various Japanese institutions involved on the subject of Open Access: MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology), JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) The JST (Japan Science and Technology agency), the NII (National Institute of Informatics), and also Dr. Yuko Harayama, executive member of the STIC (Council for Science, Technology and Innovation). Two workshops, one with representatives from university libraries, the second Japanese scientists involved in this, have supplemented the interviews ..."
