Crowd-Funding for Open Access E-Resources « Great Lakes Resource Sharing Conference

abernard102@gmail.com 2015-03-05

Summary:

"This program will discuss the pros and cons of the crowd-source funding of digital collections and why a budget-strapped college would choose to participate. Can libraries control their content, spend less money and further open access scholarship? Can libraries avoid the paywalls and relinquishing digital rights to for-profit publishers? Will crow-funding special collections allow libraries to continue to advance scholarship?"
