Open Education Week | Georgia College News and Events 2015-03-07


"Russell Library will host two events during Open Education Week March 9-13. For more details, click links to visit the event listings. Tuesday, March 10: Affordable, Accessible, Easy- Stop by the Library Atrium to see copies of free textbooks from OpenStax College, view textbooks created by GC faculty and students and learn how to adopt open educational resources in your classroom.  Wednesday, March 11: Open Education Resources Times Talk- This event will explore a wide range of issues about open educational resources including how adopting open textbooks in the classroom can lead to big savings for students. Also, the Affordable Learning Georgia Textbook Transformation Grant awardees will share their experiences. More information about successes of the USG initiative to provide affordable textbook alternatives is available at Affordable Learning Georgia. These events are organized in conjunction with Open Education Week 2015."
