The National Research Foundation (NRF) of South Africa releases Statement on Open Access « Research Data Management at University of Pretoria

"The National Research Foundation (NRF) of South Africa released a Statement on Open Access to Research Publications, on 19 January 2015. This statement recognises the importance of Open Access to science and research. From 1 March 2015 authors of research papers generated from research funded by the NRF, will be expected to deposit their final peer-reviewed manuscripts to an institutional repository when submitting and publishing in academic journals. In addition, the data supporting the publication should be deposited in an accredited Open Access repository, with a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) To read the Statement, click here!"
