Summary:

"King’s College London requires that all peer reviewed journal articles and conference papers resulting from research undertaken within the university, will be made open access by their authors: As soon as possible after publication, and normally within 6 months of publication for articles in the Health or Science areas, and 12 months in Social Sciences and Arts & Humanities.  Having due regard to the mandates of the relevant funding agencies and publishers’ policies. The full policy can be found on the  Policy Zone Research outputs can be made open access by: Deposit in the King’s College London Institutional repository, Pure/Research Portal. Deposit in a subject repository, eg Europe PubMed Central or the Social Science Research Network. Publishing in an open access journal, or a hybrid journal (subscription journal that has a paid open access option) – this usually requires the payment of an article processing charge (APC). King’s authors are free to choose the most appropriate journal to submit their work for publication, but with the proviso that the journal complies with the open access standards acceptable to their funder ..."
