"Please consider submitting an article to a new open-access journal Indigenous Knowledge: Other Ways of Knowing, which is housed at Pennsylvania State University Libraries. The journal is accepting articles on a wide range of issues concerning indigenous knowledge, including research papers and creative works, among other items ... This is an electronic, multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles in all areas of indigenous knowledge from a global perspective.  The journal is published twice yearly by the Pennsylvania State University Libraries, and is co-sponsored by the Penn State Libraries and the Penn State Interinstitutional Center for Indigenous Knowledge (ICIK).  The spring issue is guest-edited and theme-based; the fall issue is an open content issue edited by the Penn State Libraries and ICIK team.  Indigenous knowledge is an emerging area of study that focuses on the ways of knowing, seeing, and thinking that are passed down orally from generation to generation. These ways of understanding reflect thousands of years of experimentation and innovation in topics like agriculture, animal husbandry, entomophagy, biomimicry, child rearing practices, education systems, herbal and other traditional medicines, natural resource management and resilience to climate change—among many other categories ..."
