Open access scientific information available online without barriers

[From Google's English] For those who are involved with academic work, the term open access (OA) is becoming more common; even so are some other events that are linked to the so-called open culture: software . Free, open files and open data, to name a few Although the term is rapidly expanding, still some confusion about what it means persist, their benefits, but above all its challenges. The vast majority of students and researchers have benefited us of their contributions, perhaps even without knowing the philosophy behind: to find some information on the Internet and download, save and print without any cost-journal article, book, report research, educational materials, theses, among other academic materials, from the comfort of home or from a mobile device, regardless of the time of day. But how does all this work ?, Who put that information online? While all that is behind download a material has a cost associated, why someone frees and, even more, who that someone is and what gain? Even, how is it possible that while some of that information is available through databases with security keys and high costs for universities and colleges, there are agencies that are in charge of putting the same information online, but for free? These questions are related to Open Access movement that began a little over a decade, also known as Open Access , which both countries have joined as institutions and even scientific associations. But specifically, what is posed and why has become a central issue for scholars of all areas of study around the planet ?, what AA means that mandates are implemented within academic institutions and even under discussion in the House of Representatives of some countries legislate relevance?
