Summary:

"The term Open Innovation was first developed by Henry Chesbrough in 2003, when he published Open Innovation: The New Imperative for Creating and Profiting from Technology (HBS Press) ... For OISPG, Open Innovation is an innovation model based on extensive networking and co-creative collaboration between all actors in society, beyond organizations and beyond normal licensing and collaboration schemes. Therefore, for achieving greater ideas companies/organizations should share information instead of relying on their own workers, knowledge and researches. OISPG believes that  collaboration from a broader spectrum of people brings much more creativity ... A Living Lab is an open innovation ecosystem in real-life setting in which user-driven innovation is the co-creation process for new services, products and societal infrastructures. Living Labs encompass societal and technological dimensions simultaneously in a public-private-people partnership (PPPP). Projects in CIP, in FP7 and in RFEC validate the potential of Living Labs in various application domains (e.g. APOLLON) and intend to bring together the Future Internet, the Living Labs and the 'Smart Cities' communities (e.g. FIREBALL) ... The European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) incorporates 212 Living Lab members covering 26 European countries and 8 third countries located in Africa, in North and South America, and in Asia. ..."
