"The practical implications and opportunities for researchers of data sharing policies and tools was the theme of the Publishing Better Science through Better Data 2015 conference. The conference included advice on getting published, advancing careers and discussion of resources available to researchers to help them, and society, derive maximum benefit from scientific research data. Speakers included representatives from leading journals, research organisations, funding agencies and technology providers. The event took place at the offices of Springer Nature in London and was organised by the Scientific Data team. Access the final programme. Academics from the life and physical sciences and at different stages of their careers โ€“ from the UK and internationally โ€“ attended, with hundreds joining the discussions online through #scidata15.
