"Apologies for cross-posting, but list members interested in digital media and Asia may find the following useful: the first two volumes of our academic journal Asiascape: Digital Asia are currently available online, open-access, upon registration with the publisher Brill (see instructions on the web page). Asiascape: Digital Asia is a peer-reviewed academic journal that explores the political, social, and cultural impact of digital media in Asia. Recent articles include contributions by authors such as Prasenjit Duara (on area studies in the anthropocene), Chris Goto-Jones (on gamic orientalism), Larissa Hjorth (on mobile media in South Korea), Thomas Lamarre (on affective media geographies in East Asia), John Postill (on internet activism in Malaysia), and many more. The open access offer is available until 31 December. Beyond this, individual authors will of course continue to benefit from Brill’s green publishing policy, allowing them to share their contributions on their personal websites ..."
