Summary:

[Abstract] The Directory of Open Access Books provides a searchable index to peer-reviewed monographs and edited volumes published under an Open Access business model, with links to the full texts of the publications at the publisher's website or repository. It permits the aggregators, libraries and other service providers to retrieve the metadata on Open Access Books in order to integrate the catalogues and services. This paper discussed the Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) and their collections. Further it concentrates the books available for the Library and Information Science subject.
