Summary:

"It's time for the I Annotate conference once again, and this year we're having it in Berlin! Registration is now open for I Annotate 2016, May 19-20, and we invite you to join us for our fourth consecutive annual event. We are pleased to announce that we are hosting this year's event, for the first time, in Berlin at Microsoft Atrium, located in central Berlin's Unter den Linden. This is a preliminary notice to register, more information will be coming in the weeks and months to follow as we evolve the format and agenda-- specifically regarding presentations and deadlines. If you'd like to attend, please register now. Because of limitations of the venue, we have a hard cap at 150 attendees. All are welcome! Registration is available via the website at: http://iannotate.org/2016 If you are interested in participating in the hack day on Saturday, May 20th please make sure to register separately at the link above. This is also a Call for Presentations. If you're interested to share your implementation, use cases, software or other annotation-related efforts, please send an abstract to us at info@iannotate.org. Annotation continues to gain traction as a compelling collaborative activity with a diverse range of uses and users, that will take society substantially forward. The I Annotate conference focuses on the challenges, use cases, technologies, standards, best practices, integrations and other elements necessary to accelerate adoption and incorporation of annotation as a powerful new paradigm. This year, our first in Europe, we'll focus on annotation within the larger international community, and building these relationships and networks across the annotation ecosystem. We need you to roll up your sleeves and help us create this future together. Again this year the W3C Web Annotation Working Group will host their semi-annual face to face on the days preceding I Annotate, for members and invited guests ..."
