"In February the European University Association (EUA) published its 'Roadmap on Open Access to Research Publications' following its endorsement by the EUA Council at its meeting on 29 January 2016. The main objective of the roadmap is to assist universities in the transition to Open Access. It is the first step in a proposed larger series of EUA initiatives aimed at addressing the implications of the shift to Open Science, including open data (including copyright , data protection and text and data mining issues), new models of evaluation and quality assessment, and digital literacy and awareness. Listing the areas upon which EUA shall focus its Open Access efforts in the next 12 months, the roadmap mentions supporting OpenAIRE as one of its policy and good practice recommendations priority actions ..."
