"A set of Open Science Cafés were held on Apr 5th at the Dutch Presidency Open Science Conference Day II. This brief account of the World Café on Open Access Strategies aims to complement the previous blogging already done by LIBER on the full event.  While the Open Science Conference Day I was very interesting – especially in terms of the strong political support for Open Science delivered by high-level governmental and EC representatives – it was also perceived to be a rather unidirectional communication. The opportunity for discussion offered by the World Cafes held on Day II was thus gladly embraced by the conference attendees. The World Café on Open Access Strategies was organized under the PASTEUR4OA European project banner, with the goal to hold a discussion on all things Open Access, making emphasis on the strategies for a successful Open Access policy implementation and covering both Green and Gold Open Access. There were around 50 participants in the two sessions of this World Café, mainly representing institutions and funders, but also including a few researchers and (Open Access-friendly) publishers ..."
