ERC’s Funding of arXiv Part of Larger Trend, Says arXiv Program

"Oya Y. Rieger, associate university librarian at Cornell University and arXiv program director, comments on the European Research Council’s decision to help financially support arXiv - the online repository for pre-print papers operated by the Cornell University Library.  She says: 'The European Research Council's new support for arXiv is encouraging, and it's part of a trend.
