Summary:

"darkmatter is a peer-reviewed, open-access online journal committed to producing contemporary postcolonial critique.  In a world where anti-racism is mainstream, where racism is disavowed, and yet where ideas about race continue to structure and shape our realities, darkmatter gathers together and articulates critical thinking about race in the twenty-first century. Working within, outside and beyond the institutions and disciplines of the academy, darkmatter is a multimedia journal reconfiguring transnational anti-racist practice.  Articles, reviews, commentary, digital and audio-visual texts are welcome. darkmatter content is either commissioned as part of Special Issues, or General Issues publishing unsolicited material on a rolling basis – please see the Submissions page.  darkmatter is an independent project, providing immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available supports the global exchange of knowledge. darkmatter content is published under a Creative Commons license (except where otherwise noted).  To track developments and join the darkmatter project, visit our wiki site."
