A few days ago I was wondering, how many online journals there are, in the broadest sense deal with the issue of e-learning and their products fully accessible online. Some magazines I had in my head because I look over there regularly, and on others, I am (again) encountered on existing lists, such as those of the Department of Media Didactics and Knowledge Management at the University of Duisburg-Essen. And then I hurried along to chance something and twenty sources sorted out. The majority of the following journals aimed at an academic audience, their editorial board is busy with high school teachers, and they are peer-reviewed. Some are aimed at practitioners involved in companies and organizations with training and e-learning. And some try to hit a bridge between the two worlds. Some of the journals listed feel of the open access movement and committed to make this clear in their mission. Others take advantage of the opportunities of the Internet s passent , and some publish a journal to round out a business model, which consists of other offers, such as regular conferences. Some of the magazines listed are older the Internet. Some are by their subject - e-Learning! - Directly connected to the Internet. As online editions, the first of them are almost the same time in 1995 appeared. Others have recently jumped on the train. Also the deals themselves are quite different: While some journals have arrived in the form and content of the Web 2.0 and support different output formats, reader comments, and RSS, are other simple HTML.
