Summary:

"The inaugural Library Publishing Forum will bring together representatives from libraries engaged in (or considering) publishing initiatives to define and address major questions and challenges; to identify and document collaborative opportunities; to strengthen and promote this community of practice; and to advance this vibrant subfield of academic publishing. Keynote addresses will be delivered by: John Unsworth, University Librarian, Vice-Provost for Library and Technology Services, and Chief Information Officer at Brandeis University Peter Berkery, Executive Director of the Association of American University Presses The full list of speakers is now available. This event will focus on alignment opportunities between libraries, across campus stakeholder groups, and throughout the scholarly communications landscape. Keynotes, panel discussions, and interactive breakout sessions will focus on aligning library publishing activities in the areas of Policies, Infrastructure, and Organizations. Hosted by the Library Publishing Coalition, and designed as a participatory forum for library faculty and staff who are engaged in publishing, this event will take place March 5 and 6, 2014, at the Intercontinental Hotel, Kansas City, immediately following SPARC OA 2014.
