"Technology has certainly changed the ability to gather information and, for one professor, having the same access to research is equally as important. Andrew Lang, professor of mathematics at Oral Roberts University, will be speaking at the 'Open Notebook Science:  The Collection, Curation and Modeling of Melting Point Data ' event. The presentation will take place Monday at 1:30 p.m. in 408 Student Union, Case Study 1 and is free and open to the public. Lang was born in England but later traveled to the U.S. where he received his master’s and Ph.D.  Planning to model financial markets as a career, Lang switched paths to become a professor at Oral Robert University, where he has been recognized as Scholar of the Year, Outstanding Honors Program Faculty and Department Faculty Member of the Year. During his presentation, Lang will discuss what open notebook science is, the issues with closed science methods and model of melting point data ..."
