Summary:

Use the link to access more information about the upcoming webinar series from Digital Commons.  “Join us this fall for a re-broadcast of our Spotlight on Publishing webinar series, a series of webinars that spotlights a growing practice in digital librarianship: library-led publishing. We invite anyone that missed the series this spring, or would like to invite others to view the webinars, to join us as we look at why libraries are increasingly launching publishing programs, how they are doing it, and what they’re learning along the way. The webinars will also introduce the peer-review publishing capabilities integrated with the Digital Commons IR platform, and share some tips from the commercial publishing world for practical ways to improve any journal.  And, just as Todd Chavez from the University of South Florida joined us in the spring (you can still view his webinar below), we will once again have a guest from the Digital Commons community present a special webinar during the series on a particular aspect of library-led publishing.”  Topics include: [1] New Directions: Library Publishing, September 18, 2012 [2] Publishing with Digital Commons, October 16, 2012 [3] Journal Make-over: Practical Steps to Better Journals -- Broadcast 1, December 13, 2012 [4] Journal Make-over: Practical Steps to Better Journals -- Broadcast 2, December 13, 2012
