knowledge resources can be located via searches on the open web... Knowledge Gap: recent studies using statistical analyses (Björk 2010, Laakso 2011) demonstrate

the growth of open access. Our research considers: a)the knowledge seeker perspective on retrieving open access resources b)we are looking for qualitative, non statistical data... Challenges: 1) no methodology exists to monitor OA, 2) a fuzzy.complex messy socio-technical problem 3) research councils do not have to hire people to monitor OA 4) Existing dataknowledge auditing methodologies do not support web based auditing of URLs (see the table below_”
